Northumberland has two-tiers of local government: there are six District Councils, and one County Council. These seven local authorities also work closely with non-government Local Strategic Partnerships. There is one LSP in each district, and one at county level (called NSP).
Partnership working is more complicated in two-tier areas. To help us improve how we work together the LSP Co-ordinators hold regular meetings. We also appointed two Neighbourhood Renewal Advisors who talked to key partners to find out what we do well and where we need to improve. You can see below a copy of their report.
